It wouldn't be a new season if Burton didn't come out with a new pair of snowboard Bindings.  This year it's the Burton Diode Bindings with EST for dialing in your stance at any degree.

At first glance, there is defiantly something different with these bindings. Look stiff, and looks solid, with the solid molded pieces it's looks like these bindings were made with support and response in mind. The Diode comes with Burton's new hinged heelhoop to give a little flex to the boot and binding marriage.  Although we have found that it's hard to tell if the hinge is really offering any sort of motion when riding the board.  It's a nice thought, but not sure it's worth the brain power spent on it.

The Diodes do come with the nice super cushie ShredBed, We are sold on these, say good buy to bruised feet and sore heels. Riding EST's also gives you the comfort of a full bed of cushioning, instead of a thin layer of cushion on top of some hard plastic or metal base plate.Burton Snowboard Diode EST Binding ReviewBurton Snowboard Diode EST Binding Review Side
